User Experience: Testing Analysis

For prototype testing, we shall do the following:
Pre-Test Questionnaires - Find demographics
Virtual prototype of running level.
Paper prototype of puzzle level.
Post-Test Questionnaires - Specific game feedback.
-----------------------

Virtual Prototype testing:

Export level as a web .exe and place it on laptop. Bring laptop to audience and get them to play it out. This test is to evaluate whether or not the player is mentally able to complete the level and that it is not too hard and not too easy. During play, I will take notes on how many attempts it takes the player to do, how many lives they lose doing so and at what parts of the level are the most challenging.

Paper Prototype testing:

This test is to evaluate the complexity and mental challenge posed by the puzzles. To test this, I will ask the testers how they would go about completing it, with them walking me through, step by step. I will be taking notes at this point and will be recording how long each puzzle sections.

Post Test Questionnaires:

These will be a series of questions that quiz the player on the experience of the game, how they felt it went, whether there were any particular areas which were puzzling to them. There will be two variants of this, one for the paper prototype and one for the digital prototype.
